The INDO-AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS CLUB has been formed for the purpose of creating an effective business, cultural and people-to-people link between India and Australia. The Club has been operating with the support of an Advisory Board consisting of people with eminence and extensive experience in the Indo-Australian relations.

The Indo-Australian relations are on a great upsurge now. Over 300 Australian companies are now operating in India and on the reverse side; over 500 Indian companies have established their office in Australia, dominated by the Information Technology sector. A large number of companies particularly from the small and medium enterprises are playing a significant role in connecting the two nations.

The Australian State Governments New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia have established their offices in India. Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) have offices in all major Indian cities. Indian Government has established its High Commission in Canberra, with Consulate Generals in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and a Honorary Consulate in Brisbane.

Australia is one of the most favoured places for international education and over 70,000 Indian students are getting enrolled in the Australian Universities every year. The over 600,000 NRIs in Australia are also playing a significant role in the in the bilateral relationship.

The Australian Government's recently launched a Report, India Economic Strategy for 2035, sets itself the goal to lift India into Australia's top three export markets by 2035.

We welcome corporate groups and individuals as members of the Indo-Australian Business Club for promotion of business, investments and cultural relationship between both the countries.
